HOW TO HELP FIGHT

Letter from the President of the Dear Friends: Please join us as we work toward a brighter tomorrow. Since so many people are affected by macular degeneration, a contribution from each of us will make a real difference. I know firsthand the shock of learning I may go blind from a disease I'd never heard of. I know the dismay of hearing that little can be done. Until I was diagnosed with macular degeneration soon after my 39th birthday, I knew nothing of this insidious disease that affects so many. Because our tax dollars are devoted more for research into diseases that cause death than diseases that are debilitating, we must raise the funds to educate the public and support scientific research to prevent and cure macular degeneration. With your support, we can ensure our vision of a brighter tomorrow.
Sincerely, P.S. Your tax deductible contribution is appreciated and with a donation of $25.00 ($40.00 Foreign) or more, you will receive four issues of the AMDF Newsletter. How do I make a Contribution? Cutbacks in federal funding for medical research necessitate private funding for research. The American Macular Degeneration Foundation, a non-profit corporation, is committed to improving funded research and methods of treatment for those impaired by macular degeneration. The American Macular Degeneration Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, publicly supported organization described in sections 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Internal Revenue Service code.
