Good News! Marla Runyon, who is 31 and is legally blind, came in third in the Olympic trials for the American team last weekend! She will represent the United States at the Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia in September 2000. Marla Runyon has had Stargardt's Disease since the age of nine! Stargardt's Disease is macular degeneration in young people. So, we must keep hope alive - we will conquer macular degeneration. Let's all wish Marla Runyon the very best in Sydney. Tom
