A friend of mine was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration today. She researches any heathcare professionals she sees, the doctor she saw wasn't very helpful and wan't very happy when she started asking questions.
My question is: can anyone recommend a doctor or center in the Chicago area with an active interest or engaged in research in Macular Degeneration?

There are seven (7)! eye care centers listed for Illinois on this terrific web site. Most are in or near Chicago. Just go to the HOME page. Then click on the Eye Care Centers button. Then go to the listings for Illinois. Addresses and phone numbers are provided. Call and try to make an appointment. Good luck to you with your macular degeneration. I hope they can help you.
