although I'm a little surprised thatnobody at all has shown the slightest interest in something which has the potential to help a lot of MD sufferers.
Just for the record, here is the description of the V-Max headset:
"Now, however, V-Max has arrived. It works by using one camera which magnifies an image on a screen. V-Max is very light, it weighs less than 23 ounces and it has simple controls. It is portable and is powered by a lightweight battery pack worn on the belt or operated with an AC adapter, it can even be worn over prescription glasses. You also see the images in colour. You can see the equivalent of a sixty inch screen viewed from four feet away. Bob gets some strange looks when he wears it in the street, but he can now work as an assistant at his local school. Although it's not a cure, V-max has enabled Bob to maximise the vision he has left and lead a more independent life."
