Five years ago,my wife and I adopted two beautiful and healthy children. They were a sib set of
brother and sister. Last year, our son was diagnosed with Stargardts.He has been an inspiration to every person in his life.
Unfortunately, it now appears that his sister is developing it too. While the diagnosis has not been
confirmed, she's very worried. She is only eight years old, same age as her brother when he developed
the disease. Tomorrow is Father's day, and well, it's a tough time to be a dad. I feel so helpless
in caring for my kids, who have been through so much in their young lives.
I pray that my little girl will have the perseverance that my son has. She is having nightmares
about losing her sight and it breaks my heart. Your prayers for my family would be much appreciated

I just read your message today though it was posted five years ago. My father had AMD when he was in his seventies. I have AMD and lost my right eye central vision when I was 45. My left eye too is in CNV stage. I am worried for my 11 year old son.I hope you could tell me what were the symptoms that your children had when they were discovered to have Stargadts. How are your children coping now? I will pray for your children and my son. Please keep me informed.
