Since January 2000 my Dad (64 yrs old) has had 5 PDT/Visudyne treatments for wet macular in his left eye. His eye sight improved from 20/2000 to 20/32. He usually has to be retreated every eight weeks. I know it is not a cure but it is saving his eyesight for now. (His right eyesight is permanently 3 count fingers at 6' due to a 1992 laser treatment for macular.) He is a young, aggressive and compassionate doctor who has helped our entire family cope with such a dredded disease.
