I want to know about this photo therapy with visudyne. My uncle in Wisconsin is having and I have been in ophthalmology for 15 years and out here we don't have a cure. Is this a cure and with all our seniors out here with it, for 15,000 everyone would be doing it.

But it can be helpful in some cases of the "wet" form of Macular degeneration. You can read more about it on this web site under Macular Degeneration, then Wet, from the HOME Page or off the ARCHIVES button from the Home page under Photodynamic Therapy. The direct page links are as follows: www.macular.org/vistreat.html and www.macular.org/archives/photodt.html You may want to go there to read more about Visudyne. FYI. It was approved for use in the United States by the FDA in April of 2000. Russ
