I have several small blinds spots in my vision that are most notiveable when looking at straight lines, door frames, patterns etc. I have seen an opthomologist, who did a dilated exam, visual field test and fluroscein angiogram. All cam up negative. He told me it must be something in the vitreous, but I've had floaters for most of my life and these new blind spots are fixed. If I look at something dar, they're kind of clear, while if I look at, say, a gap in a doorway, or my keyboard, they're dark. It's really weird and freaking me out. Every day I think I'll wake up and there'll be one smack-bang in the centre of my vision. Any ideas?Posted by Marybeth on August 14, 2000 at 08:59:51: In Reply to: could it be??? posted by melinda on August 11, 2000 at 23:22:21: I have several small blinds spots in my vision that are most notiveable when looking at straight lines, door frames, patterns etc. I have seen an opthomologist, who did a dilated exam, visual field test and fluroscein angiogram. Maybe you should see another eye care professional and have more tests performed. You can find a list of treatment centers across the US by going to the HOME Page of this very helpful web site, then click on the EYE CARE CENTERS button. The Eye Care Centers are listed alphabetically by state. Addresses and phone numbers are given. Good luck to you. Your friend, Marybeth

You should probably have more tests done. posted by Marybeth on August 14, 2000 at 08:59:51: We make Rx eyeglasses with melanin. Melanin, the pigment found naturally in the skin and eyes, prevents macular degeneration and cataracts.
