Hi I am eighteen and have had vision problems my entire life. My eye doctor assumes that I have a form of juvenile MD because there is a spot on my retina and my mother and eldest brother both have the disease. My question is, is there some way that they can test to see what my specific problem is? My vision is not that bad it is 20/70 and 20/80 and although it is uncorrectable I consider myself lucky becuse my brother and mother have vision above 20/400. I forgot to mention in my previous posting that the topic heading to look for under the ARCHIVES is "Macular Degeneration and the Young." There are some 10 or 12 other topic headings under the Archives that you alos might find interesting reading. Your friend, Kathy.
