Dan, I've tried following your links and got the one about optic nerve ischemia etc. but haven't gotten the MDList one somehow, someway. Nonetheless, folks out there things get mighty grey don't they. Time keeps piling things up on me and I just want everyone out there struggling with vision loss for whatever reason,to know you've got a very empathetic, sympathetic friend here. They have found out the reason I have had the optic nerve stroke is because I have Pseudotumor Cerebri, probably due to a recent onset of arachnoiditis from old spinal injuries. Now don't that beat all. But my grandmama told me that God wouldn't ever put more on me than I could withstand and the saying goes, "but for the grace of God, go I." Those are proving to be mighty weighty words for me. Thanks

Sharon, I appreciated you empathic letter and trust in God. My father died, very quickly, from cancer this past January. Last night I spoke with my mother who told me she has WetMD. I have done a small amount of internet research since then. I think my task is to help prepare her prepare for blindness. Short of God's PHYSICAL intervention/healing, this seems to be inevitable. God is capable of healing her and, He is more than capable of leading her through such a terrible illness.
