I am 4 months post diagnosed wet MD and now also have a new diagnoses of "Optic Nerve Stroke". Now I would suppose that term could well be said "optic nerve ishchemia". Though was told the damage done is done, no return, help, hope, but won't happen again in that optic nerve, but can happen in the other optic nerve. Now does anyone out there know how often MD people have optic nerve neuropathy and if so what are the age groups most commonly found and does it affect the rate of the progression of the MD visual loss?
